Nursery Boereboom is an organisation which is specialized in multiplying ornamental crops. We make use of two different multiplication processes;
in vivo
and
in vitro
.
The multiplication process
in vivo
, takes place in conditioned tunnels which are located in our greenhouse. The
in vivo
production is by order only. Customisation and our customer focus are our greatest strenghts.
The multiplication process
in vitro
, takes place in our tissue culture laboratories. With sterile conditions, the floriculture crops are multiplied within test tubes. The development of our protocols take place in our laboratory in Eindhoven, while the production takes place in our production laboratory in Portugal, Boereboom
Invitro
Portugal.
Our
in vitro
process of multiplication is a very difficult and expensive technique, therefore we mainly focus on new species or species that are hard to multiply through
in vivo
.
Boereboom is an innovative company, which invests in the future. An example of innovation is our tissue culture laboratory and next to that, we are the first company who started rooting ornamental crops without the use of daylight, but with the use of LED-light.
